Is inland really easier on an enclosure?
On corrosion, yes, substantially. DeLand cages routinely outlast coastal ones by years on the same fasteners. What they get instead is debris and shade, which are annoying but far cheaper to deal with.
My cage is on an old house. Is that a problem?
Sometimes. Enclosures added to older DeLand houses were occasionally built to spans that were optimistic, and those sag over time. We measure the span and look at the beam before quoting rather than assume it is fine.
Do I need a permit for a rescreen in DeLand?
For a straight rescreen in an unchanged frame, normally no. New enclosures and structural work do, through the City of DeLand or Volusia County depending on your address.
