Can you clean the mildew off my screens instead of replacing them?
If the staining is surface-level, cleaning helps. Once mildew has gone through the weave, the mesh is grey for good and no cleaning brings it back — at that point you are choosing between living with it and rescreening.
My house is in the historic district. Does that affect the work?
It affects structural work more than screen. A like-for-like rescreen is normally straightforward, but downtown enclosures are often retrofits onto much older buildings with unusual attachment details, so we look closely at how the cage ties in before quoting.
Do you work on lakefront cages on Lake Monroe?
Yes, and we look at them differently. Lakefront frames there take wind off open water with nothing to break it, so we check frame condition and fastening more closely than on a sheltered lot three miles inland.
