Pool Screen Repair in
Altamonte Springs, Florida
Around twenty-five minutes west. We rescreen pool cages and lanais across Altamonte Springs with heavy-duty Phifer fiberglass, no-see-um, pet-resistant or solar mesh — and we look at the frame before we quote the screen.

Screen enclosures in Altamonte Springs
Altamonte is one of the older suburbs in Seminole County and it shows in the enclosures. A high proportion of what we rescreen here predates 1990, and on a cage that age the honest conversation is not about mesh at all — it is whether the frame is worth putting new screen onto. We will tell you when it is not. Around Lake Brantley and Bear Lake there is also enough open water to add insect pressure that inland Altamonte streets do not get, so mesh choice genuinely differs across the city.
What the housing here means for your cage
Sanlando and Spring Oaks are seventies-era, with cages that have often been repaired piecemeal by several different contractors over the years. Mixed spline sizes and mismatched fasteners across one structure are common here, and they are worth sorting out properly during a rescreen rather than perpetuating.

Permits for Altamonte Springs go through the City of Altamonte Springs building department. Replacing screen in an unchanged frame is normally maintenance rather than permitted work, while structural changes generally are not — confirm with them before work starts, and we can tell you who to call. Learn moreAltamonte Springs questions we get asked
My cage is from the seventies. Should I rescreen or replace it?
That is the honest question in Altamonte and it depends on the frame, not the screen. If the aluminum is sound and square, rescreening a forty-year-old cage is good value. If it is not, new mesh just puts tension into a structure that cannot hold it, and we will tell you that.
Previous contractors used different parts on my enclosure. Does that matter?
It does. Mixed spline sizes across one structure make future repairs harder and tend to work loose sooner. A rescreen is the natural moment to standardise it, and it costs very little extra to do at that point.
Can you match repairs done by a previous contractor?
We can, but on older Altamonte cages we would usually rather standardise the spline and fasteners across the whole structure during a rescreen than perpetuate three different systems. It costs very little extra and makes every future repair easier.
