Pool Screen Repair in
Winter Springs, Florida
Ten minutes from the shop — effectively a neighbouring town. We rescreen pool cages and lanais across Winter Springs with heavy-duty Phifer fiberglass, no-see-um, pet-resistant or solar mesh — and we look at the frame before we quote the screen.

Screen enclosures in Winter Springs
Winter Springs has the heaviest continuous tree cover of any city we serve regularly. Tuscawilla in particular was built into existing woodland rather than cleared, and the consequence for screen enclosures is constant: leaf litter and small deadfall sitting on roof panels through the whole year, holding moisture against the mesh and accelerating the point at which sun-brittled screen finally splits. Owners here get noticeably more life out of a cage if roof panels are cleared a couple of times a year, which costs nothing and is the single most useful thing we can tell you.
What the housing here means for your cage
Tuscawilla's cages span an unusually wide age range because the community was built out over roughly two decades. We routinely work on eighties-era enclosures and 2000s enclosures on adjacent streets, and they need different things — the older ones are usually a fastener-and-frame conversation, the newer ones a straight rescreen.

Permits for Winter Springs go through the City of Winter Springs building department. Replacing screen in an unchanged frame is normally maintenance rather than permitted work, while structural changes generally are not — confirm with them before work starts, and we can tell you who to call. Learn moreWinter Springs questions we get asked
Why does my Tuscawilla cage need work when my neighbour's does not?
Tuscawilla was built out over roughly two decades, so adjacent houses can have enclosures fifteen years apart in age. Same street, very different stage of life — it is the most common source of confusion we hear here.
Does clearing the roof actually extend screen life?
Yes, measurably. Debris holds moisture against mesh that is already UV-brittle, and that combination is what turns a panel that would have lasted another two seasons into one that splits this year.
Can you clear the debris off my roof panels while you are here?
On a rescreen it comes off as part of the work. If you only want the roof cleared, that is not really a job we come out for — it is something you can do yourself safely from a hose or a blower in most cases.
