Pool Cage
Repainting.

Sun, salt air and humidity chalk an aluminum frame long before it fails structurally. Repainting restores the look and puts a protective coat back on the metal.

Prep Is the Whole Job

Paint over a chalked, unwashed frame lifts within a season. The preparation is what separates a repaint that lasts from one that peels.

Corrosion Prep

Pitting has to be cut back and primed before anything goes over it, or it keeps working under the new coat. This is the step cheap quotes leave out.

Questions we get about this

How long does a pool cage repaint last?

Six to ten years with proper preparation, considerably less if the frame was coated over chalk. The prep matters more than the paint.

Can you repaint and rescreen at the same time?

Yes, and it is the sensible order: screen comes off, frame is prepped and coated, new screen goes on clean. Doing it the other way risks overspray on new mesh.

Does repainting fix corrosion?

It stops it spreading where the metal is still sound. Where a member is pitted through, paint is cosmetic only and that section needs replacing first.
