Pool Screen Repair in
New Smyrna Beach, Florida
An hour south of our Palm Coast technician, so New Smyrna work is booked in blocks rather than singly. We rescreen pool cages and lanais across New Smyrna Beach with heavy-duty Phifer fiberglass, no-see-um, pet-resistant or solar mesh — and we look at the frame before we quote the screen.

Screen enclosures in New Smyrna Beach
New Smyrna Beach gets salt from two directions and people usually only think about one. The ocean side is obvious. Less obvious is the Indian River and the back-bay creeks around Turnbull Bay, which put brackish air onto enclosures that are nowhere near the beach, and we find corroded fasteners on cages whose owners were certain they were far enough inland to be safe. The practical point is the same one we make all along this coast: new mesh tensioned onto failing screws is how a rescreen fails inside two years, and the frame has to be assessed first.
What the housing here means for your cage
The barrier island is old New Smyrna - modest houses, screened porches, a lot of work added piecemeal over the years - while the mainland splits between the established Sugar Mill and Turnbull Bay neighbourhoods and the much newer building at Venetian Bay. Venetian Bay cages are the most predictable in the city: one broad build era, conventional construction, now coming due on factory mesh. Island porches are the least predictable, and we price those after looking rather than before.

Permits for New Smyrna Beach go through the City of New Smyrna Beach building department, or Volusia County's if you are south of the city limits toward Bethune Beach. Replacing screen in an unchanged frame is normally maintenance rather than permitted work, while structural changes generally are not — confirm with them before work starts, and we can tell you who to call. Learn moreNew Smyrna Beach questions we get asked
I am a mile from the beach. Do I still have a salt problem?
Quite possibly, yes. New Smyrna gets salt off the Indian River and the back-bay creeks as well as the ocean, and we regularly find corroded fasteners on cages around Turnbull Bay whose owners were certain they were far enough inland. It costs nothing to have us look at the screws while we are quoting the screen.
Is no-see-um mesh worth it here?
On a river or creek-backing lot, usually yes - standard 18x14 fiberglass does not stop no-see-ums and the back-bay side of New Smyrna is exactly where they are worst. Out at Venetian Bay, away from the water, the case is much weaker and we will say so rather than upsell you.
How long is the wait for New Smyrna?
Longer than for Palm Coast, because it is an hour from the truck and we book it in blocks rather than singly. If you need a cage done before a specific date, say so when you call and we will tell you honestly whether we can hold it.
