Pool Screen Repair in
Daytona Beach, Florida
Around forty minutes south of our Palm Coast technician, scheduled in blocks so we are not crossing the county twice in a morning. We rescreen pool cages and lanais across Daytona Beach with heavy-duty Phifer fiberglass, no-see-um, pet-resistant or solar mesh — and we look at the frame before we quote the screen.

Screen enclosures in Daytona Beach
Daytona Beach spans the widest range of exposure of anywhere we serve. On the barrier island the salt is relentless and it goes after the metal, not the screen: on Beachside and down through Daytona Beach Shores we expect to find corroded screws and pitted cut edges, and we check them as a matter of course. Out west at LPGA International and Indigo you are far enough from the ocean that the frame usually outlives several screens, and the limiting factor becomes sun on the roof panels. Same city, same price list, genuinely different jobs - which is why we will not quote a Daytona cage over the phone.
What the housing here means for your cage
A great deal of Daytona's housing stock predates the idea of a pool cage, so enclosures here are frequently retrofits rather than original to the house, and the quality of that original work varies enormously. We look at how the cage ties into the wall and the slab edge before we look at the mesh. The newer golf-course communities west of I-95 are the exception and the easiest cages in the city to quote: conventional builder enclosures of a known age, mostly on their first screen, straightforward to price and quick to do.

Permits for Daytona Beach go through the City of Daytona Beach building department, or Volusia County's for the unincorporated areas west of town. Replacing screen in an unchanged frame is normally maintenance rather than permitted work, while structural changes generally are not — confirm with them before work starts, and we can tell you who to call. Can you give me a price over the phone for a Daytona rescreen?
Not honestly. Daytona covers a wider range of exposure than anywhere else we serve - a cage on the Shores and a cage out at Indigo are the same screen and a different job - so a phone figure here would be a guess dressed up as a quote. The on-site estimate is free and it takes about twenty minutes.
My enclosure was added long after the house was built. Does that matter?
It matters a lot, and it is common in Daytona. A retrofitted cage is only as good as the way it was tied into the wall and the slab edge, and the quality of that original work varies enormously. We look at the attachment before we look at the mesh, because new screen on a badly anchored frame solves nothing.
Do you work on the condo towers on the beachfront?
On individual units, often yes, but anything that is the building's responsibility rather than yours has to go through the association, and screen on a high-rise balcony is frequently theirs. We will tell you which it is before anyone pays for anything.
